Roof Drainage

Roof Drainage

To prevent water from leaking into exterior or cellar walls, the rainwater running off the roof areas should be drained via a roof drainage system. As a rule, this roof drainage system consists of gutters and rainwater downpipes connected thereto, which, in turn, take the rainwater into municipal drainage system, a rainwater utilisation system or seepage through trenches or troughs.

We stock all Rheinzink drainage systems here at Edgeform Metals, in both blue-grey and graphite- grey.

Aesthetically Appealing – Zinc guttering is perfect for making a statement and will instantly enhance a property’s curb appeal. In its natural tone, the look of Zinc is unmistakable and creates an aesthetic unmatched by any other materials.

Corrosion Resistant – Zinc gutters are not affected by extreme or prolonged harsh weather conditions. Over time, Zinc builds up a patina, which is a natural layer that protects the metal from any corrosion.

Durable & Long Lasting – Zinc features a great combination of strength, water, UV and corrosion resistance, that allows it to be one of the most durable metals used in gutter and roofing systems around the world, often lasting more than 80 years.

Maintenance Free – Due to their natural protective layer, zinc gutters and downpipes do not require any coating or painting to protect them. Zinc is also mould, fungus, moss and mildew resistant, which reduces the need for major maintenance work, apart from the normal periodic gutter clearance when needed.

Sustainable – Zinc doesn’t lose its chemical or physical characteristics in the recycling process, so it can be recycled and reused again and again.
